The Mission d'accueil des publics internationaux

The Mission d'Accueil des Publics Internationaux (MAPI), the international student reception service, is designed to help, support and assist you when you arrive in Saint-Étienne. It also offers help and support in your everyday life.

It makes life easier for all foreign visitors by offering the following services :

information and administrative help ahead of arrival ;
a single point of contact for the Prefecture (first applications and residence permit renewal applications) ;
help with making applications ;
help with accommodation in residences and host families (pre-booking, placement with a host family) ;
assistance with all administrative procedures like opening a bank account, applying for an accommodation grant, applying on the CAF website, etc.

The MAPI also offers linguistic training ahead of the new academic year at CILEC and free FFL courses (intensive course for students on exchange programmes such as Erasmus, ISEP/ORA/Kansai Gaidai, etc.).

Lastly, it organises cultural and discovery days in the city of Saint-Étienne and the surrounding area.
