COVID-19 - Information point – September 14th, 2021

International students from countries classified in the red zone arriving at Jean Monnet University

In accordance with the circular of the 5th of August 2021, a student, a university professor or an unvaccinated researcher [with a vaccine recognized by the European Medicines Agency] from a country classified in the red zone with respect to COVID 19 (*) must respect a quarantine of 10 days and he must warn his host to make sure that the conditions of isolation can be ensured.

Before their departure, any person concerned must register for social security by providing either the administrative registration certificate issued by the establishment, or the admission certificate. This exceptional measure is taken to ensure enhanced public health surveillance. It will also allow the Health Insurance to send students a specific communication facilitating access to vaccination.
The students or teachers concerned can refer to Sara Huyard, nurse at the University's Health Service in order to take a look on his/her vaccination situation with regard to COVID-19 regulations.

(*) These are the following countries (as of 08/27/2021): Afghanistan, South Africa, Algeria, Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Georgia, Indonesia, Iran, Maldives, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Russia, Seychelles, Suriname, Tunisia and Turkey. Active circulation of the virus is observed in these countries, with the presence of variants of concern.
