Cloud computing, or just “the Cloud” for short, is a general movement in information technology data management of using the computing power and / or storage of remote computer servers through a network, typically the Internet. These server computers are rented on demand, usually per usage according to technical criteria (power, bandwidth …) but also packaged. They are used to store user data but also software that is accessible as Web services.
