====== Generalisation ======
Generalisation is a [[english:glossary:cartography|cartography]] technique which allows to symplify and to adapt an overabundant information on a [[english:glossary:map|map]]. This technique requires three differents processes : selection, schematisation and harmonisation. The choices we make depend of the aim of the map, its subject, the distinctive features of the area and its [[english:glossary:scale|scale]].
