====== Spatial Entity ======


In a [[english:glossary:gis|geographic information system]], the concept of a spatial entity refers to the [[english:glossary:vector|vector mode]]. These entities can be [[english:glossary:point|points]], [[english:glossary:polyline|lines]], or [[english:glossary:polygon|polygons]] and are determined by their contours as coordinates (x, y). In [[english:glossary:rastermode|raster mode]], referenced spatial entities are all identical cells of a regular grid.
