====== Zoom (tool) ======


The zoom in or out is one of the classic navigation tools in a [[english:glossary:geographicdatabase|geographic database]], which allows one to interactively choose the [[english:glossary:scale|scale]] or level of visualization. It is complementary to the [[english:glossary:panoramic|panoramic tool (Pan)]], which allows a lateral displacement without a change in scale. It usually takes the form of a magnifying glass.
