Cardinal (level of measurement)

A variable or statistic character is said to be of a cardinal level of measurement when it takes fully quantitative values, among which there are proportional relationships and on which it is possible to do arithmetic operations (addition of values, averaging…). We distinguish between the interval cardinal level of measurement (with a relative 0) and the ratio cardinal measurement level (with an absolute 0)
