Correlation
The correlation is used in statistics and probability. It measures the intensity of the link between one and one or several other variables. The study of this link can be done by calculating for example the linear correlation coefficient ; if the value of this coefficient is near -1 there is a negative correlation, and if the value is near 1 there is a positive correlation.
A correlation can pinpoint a link between two variables even if they don't have any causality link.
