A heat map is a mode of cartography that presents the density of points as a continuous surface. This is a type of map that appears on the Geoweb as a calculation of interpolation, but which, as appropriate, applies only the number of points present in an area, or incorporates the attributes of these. \\See also: Cartography \\[French: Heatmap]
