Marta Domagalska-Grędys (Université d’Agriculture de Cracovie, Pologne), présentera un séminaire intitulé : Work–Life Balance under Pressure: Evidence from Employees in Rural Areas and New Research Perspectives.
Résumé / abstract :
The seminar will present key findings from my recent empirical research on work–life balance (WLB) among employees living and working in rural areas in Poland. The results highlight structural, organisational and social factors shaping the ability to reconcile professional and private life, particularly in contexts characterised by limited labour market flexibility and strong family responsibilities.
Building on this experience, the second part of the seminar will introduce a new comparative research project focusing on work–life balance perceptions among university students. The planned survey will explore:
- perceived balance between academic, professional and private life,
- expectations towards future work arrangements and organisational support,
- awareness of gender roles and stereotypes in relation to careers and domestic responsibilities.
The seminar aims to open a discussion on similarities and differences between national contexts and generations, and to reflect on methodological challenges in comparative WLB research.
