LEM-CERCOR UMR CNRS 8584

Founded in 1982 by Pierre-Roger GAUSSIN – a professor of medieval history at the University of Saint-Etienne – the purpose of the CERCOR is to bring together research on monastic and religious history. Since January 2007, the CERCOR is part of the LEM UMR CNRS 8584.

The members of the CERCOR have a network of partnerships all over Europe. They mostly focus on developing three areas of research:
