  • The research library of the CERCOR, which specializes in monastic and religious history, offers a stock of more than 10 000 volumes, an important collection of periodical publications (including about forty still-published journals), 6 000 offprints, a hundred volumes of gray literature that deal with every aspect of monastic life during the Middle-Ages and the early modern period. The library’s strong points are the existence of an ancient stock, the privileged choice of source collections and work tools (cartularies, dictionaries), and the important place given to professional journals.
  • With its dozens of journals often difficult to consult in France, the library is the heart of the CERCOR. It is a major advantage for the team and for attractivity.
  • The CERCOR’s library is associated to the Service Commun de la Documentation (SCD) of the University Jean Monnet, member of the BRISE-ES network (Bibliothèques en Réseau Informatisé de Saint-Étienne Enseignement Supérieur). The library catalog is part of the common catalog of the BRISE-ES network.
